Regional - Hyatt Hotels Corporation will be launching two new hotels in India within the next five years, bringing the total number of announced local properties under development to 56.
The hotel group has signed management agreements for an Andaz hotel in Gurgaon and a Grand Hyatt hotel in Kochi, India.
Andaz Gurgaon will be opening in the fourth quarter of 2014 with more than 11,500 sq ft (1068 sq m) of meeting space, including five Andaz studios and a ballroom.
The property boasting 275 guestrooms and 75 serviced apartments will be situated on the junction of the National Highway 8 and Northern Peripheral Road in Gurgaon, accessible to the city's main business districts.
Grand Hyatt Kochi will be opening in the first quarter of 2017, offering more than 60,000 sq ft (5574 sq m) of meeting and events space which includes a ballroom measuring 26,000 sq ft.
Hyatt is also planning to open three new hotels in India by year's end across its Park Hyatt and Hyatt Place brands, including Park Hyatt Chennai, Hyatt Place Hampi, and Hyatt Place Pune, Hinjewadi.
